Wine tasting at Momik WineCube

Vayots Dzor

Momik WineCube is a wine tasting venue run by Nver and Narine Ghazaryan in Areni village, opened in 2018, set within a 1,500-square-meter vineyard. It represents a farm-to-bottle model in which local grape growers, who previously only sold raw grapes, now produce and bottle their own wine under the Momik label, making red, white, and rosé wines. From its terrace, visitors can see the 14th-century Holy Mother of God Church. Momik wines are also sold at wine bars in Yerevan, including In Vino and Wine Republic, and at restaurants along Saryan Street. What you can do: Taste Momik's red, white, and rosé wines on a vineyard terrace. View the nearby 14th-century Holy Mother of God Church from the tasting terrace. Mimino statue photo stop (Dilijan)

Tavush

A bronze sculptural group in central Dilijan depicting the three main characters of the beloved 1977 Soviet film "Mimino" — Georgian pilot Valiko, Armenian truck driver Rubik, and Russian mechanic Ivan — as a tribute to the friendship between the Armenian, Georgian, and Russian peoples portrayed in the film. Unveiled on July 6, 2011, by sculptor Armen Vardanyan, it doubles as a working drinking-water fountain, referencing a famous line from the film about Dilijan's water. What people can do there: Photograph the bronze figures — visitors traditionally rub one statue's nose for luck, which has visibly polished the bronze — drink from the attached fountain, and continue on foot to nearby Sharambeyan Street and Dilijan's small artificial lake.

Sharambeyan St old-town crafts walk (Dilijan)

Tavush

Named after Hovhannes Sharambeyan, a Soviet-era artist who helped found Dilijan's State Theatre, this street is the preserved heart of Dilijan's old town — two-story 19th-century stone-and-wood houses with carved wooden balconies and red-tiled roofs, restored through the Tufenkian Old Dilijan Complex project. It remains a living quarter of craftsmen's workshops, a gallery, and a museum, giving Dilijan — nicknamed "Armenian Switzerland" — its most photographed corner. What people can do there: Browse artisan workshops for woodcarving, pottery, blacksmithing, carpet weaving, and jewelry, watch craftspeople at work or join a master class, buy handmade souvenirs, visit the Museum of Folk Art, and stop at a café along the way.
