Tavush
A bronze sculptural group in central Dilijan depicting the three main characters of the beloved 1977 Soviet film "Mimino" — Georgian pilot Valiko, Armenian truck driver Rubik, and Russian mechanic Ivan — as a tribute to the friendship between the Armenian, Georgian, and Russian peoples portrayed in the film. Unveiled on July 6, 2011, by sculptor Armen Vardanyan, it doubles as a working drinking-water fountain, referencing a famous line from the film about Dilijan's water.
What people can do there: Photograph the bronze figures — visitors traditionally rub one statue's nose for luck, which has visibly polished the bronze — drink from the attached fountain, and continue on foot to nearby Sharambeyan Street and Dilijan's small artificial lake.
