Tavush
Named after Hovhannes Sharambeyan, a Soviet-era artist who helped found Dilijan's State Theatre, this street is the preserved heart of Dilijan's old town — two-story 19th-century stone-and-wood houses with carved wooden balconies and red-tiled roofs, restored through the Tufenkian Old Dilijan Complex project. It remains a living quarter of craftsmen's workshops, a gallery, and a museum, giving Dilijan — nicknamed "Armenian Switzerland" — its most photographed corner.
What people can do there: Browse artisan workshops for woodcarving, pottery, blacksmithing, carpet weaving, and jewelry, watch craftspeople at work or join a master class, buy handmade souvenirs, visit the Museum of Folk Art, and stop at a café along the way.
